Hello Lovely! and welcome to my Free Puppy Christmas Wreath Knitting Pattern!

I just love Christmas, even though lots has changed over the years, my creativity for it hasn’t.

I’m always knitting and crocheting people presents, and making decorations such as this Puppy Christmas Wreath.

And now I’m making it available to you for Free!

It is a wonderful pattern for beginners or even if you have been knitting for years.

The pattern is very easy to follow and just full of so much Christmas Joy.

Especially if I find I’m having a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit, I just make something that is Christmas themed and it really helps boost Christmas time for me.

Required:

Needle Size – 4mm Single Point Needles.

Wool Ply – 8 Ply, DK.

1 Ball of Brown Wool.

1 Ball of Green Wool.

1 Ball of Red Wool.

1 Ball of White Wool.

Tapestry Needle.

Polyester Toy Filling.

Sewn In Wobbly Eyes.

WARNING – If this item is going to be accessible by toddlers under the age of 6, I recommend that you embroider the eyes instead so they don’t pose a choking hazard.

Finished Size is 36cm Tall and 29cm Wide.

Abbreviations:

KFB – Knit Front and Back of Stitch, otherwise known as increase.

St-St – Stocking Stitch.

K2Tog – Knit 2 Together, otherwise known as decrease.

Cast on 40 Stitches with Red Wool.

Row 1 – Purl Row.

Rows 2 – 9 – St-St 8 rows starting with a knit row and ending with a purl row.

Change Colour to White Wool.

Rows 10 – 19 – St-St 10 rows starting with a knit row and ending with a purl row.

Change Colour to Green Wool.

Rows 20 – 29 – St-St 10 rows starting with a knit row and ending with a purl row.

Change Colour to Red Wool.

Rows 30 – 39 – St-St 10 rows starting with a knit row and ending with a purl row.

Change Colour to White Wool.

Fasten Off and Sew Up.

How To Make It Up / Assembly.

Sew up the wreath most of the way, then turn it in the right way, simply stuff the item as you sew it up the rest of the way and sew up the ends together.

Simply sew up and stuff the head, with the snout you must sew it mostly up, sew it partly to the head, stuff and then finish sewing it up.

With the ears you take two pieces and sew them together, you don’t stuff these pieces, you simply sew them up and then sew them to the top sides of the head.

With the beanie you simply sew it up and sew a pom pom to the end of it, now you can choose to sew the beanie actually onto the head if you wish but you don’t have to.

You then embroider on the facial features.
