Hello Lovely! and welcome to my Free Bunny Lovey Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern!

I have made a few bunny patterns in the past, I just think they are perfect because they are so beautiful, I actually used to own bunnies, 5 of them to be exact, and one female who I named Cupcake had 3 babies.

Which gave me the idea to create a bunny baby blanket, or lovey.

And now I’m making it available to you for Free!

It is a wonderful pattern for beginners or even if you have been knitting for years.

The pattern is very easy to follow and just so beautiful to make.

It would work well with a multitude of colours as well.

Needle Size – 4mm Single Point Needle.

Wool Ply – 8 Ply, DK.

1 Ball of Pink Wool.

1 Ball of White Wool.

1 Ball of Green Wool.

Tapestry Needle.

Polyester Toy Filling.

Small Amount of Black Yarn for embroidering the facial features.

Finished Size is 44cm Tall and 45cm Wide.

Cast Off.

How To Make It Up.

With the blanket, simply sew in the loose ends.

With the Bunny Head and Arms, simply sew them up and stuff them with polyester toy filling.

Embroider the eyes, nose and mouth with the small amount of black yarn, this is the safest option for babies.

With the ears, simply sew them up, do not stuff them, you can if you want to give them a little more shape and stability but I didn’t.

Sew the ears to the top sides of the head, and then sew the head to the middle of the blanket, I sewed mine facing towards a corner but you don’t have to have it this way if you do not want.

Then sew the arms simply next to the head.
