Free Mini Bumble Bee Crochet/Amigurumi Pattern

Hello Lovely! and welcome to my Free Mini Bumble Bee Crochet/Amigurumi Pattern.

If you are like me, then you love anything small and adorable, which is why I have decided to make these adorable Mini Bumble Bee’s which can even be used as keychains!

They are very quick and easy to crochet up, perfect for last minute gifts.

You can also make them in multiple of colours, as you can see from my pictures, I made a typical yellow and black one, as well as ones with blue and purple.

So without further ado, my Free Mini Bumble Bee Crochet/Amigurumi Pattern.

Required:

Hook Size – 3.5mm Hook (AUS).

Wool Ply – 8 Ply, DK.

1 Ball of Main Colour (Yellow).

1 Ball of Secondary Colour (Black).

1 Ball of Third Colour (White).

Stitch Marker to mark your beginning stitch as this pattern is worked in round.

Tapestry Needle.

Polyester Toy Filling.

9mm Safety Eyes (or embroidered eyes if you want more safety).

Abbreviations (This Pattern is for US Terminology).

Magic Circle – otherwise known as Magic Ring.

SC – Stands for Single Crochet.

Inc – Stands for Increase Stitch.

Dec – Stands for Decrease Stitch.

St – Stands for Stitch.

Sts – Stands for Stitches.

Pattern.

Bees.

Round 1 – SC 6 into Magic Circle starting with Main Colour (Yellow).

Round 2 – (Inc) 6 times. (12 sts).

Round 3 – (SC 1, Inc 1) 6 times. (18 sts).

Rounds 4 – 6 – SC 3 Rounds. (18 sts).

Insert 9mm Safety Eyes between rounds 3 and 4 (roughly 5 sts apart) and embroider the mouth.

Change to Secondary Colour (Black).

Round 7 – SC 1 Round.

Change to Main Colour (Yellow).

Rounds 8 – 9 – SC 2 Rounds.

Change to Secondary Colour (Black).

Round 10 – SC 1 Round.

Change to Main Colour (Yellow).

Round 11 – SC 1 Round.

Round 12 – (SC 1, Dec) 6 times. (12 sts).

Stuff the bee.

Round 13 – (Dec) 6 times. (6 sts).

Fasten Off and Sew Up.

Wings. (Make Two).

Round 1 – SC 6 into Magic Circle using the third colour (White).

Round 2 – (Inc) 6 times. (12 sts).

Fasten Off.

How To Make It Up.

Sew the two wings together on one side.

Then sew the wings onto your bumble bee.
