Free Sweet Pea the Elephant Crochet Pattern!

Free Sweet Pea the Elephant Crochet Pattern by NicolaRattleyDesigns.

Hello lovely! And welcome to my Free Sweet Pea the Elephant Crochet Pattern.

I had always dreamed of making an elephant toy, so when I finally got around to learning how to crochet, it was the second item I ever designed.

And now I am sharing this adorable pattern with you!

It is perfect for beginners and even people who have been crocheting for years, however there are quite a few pieces and it does require a bit of sewing as the ear pieces are all made seperately.

This pattern is very easy to follow and actually really fun to make, I just love the big ears like dumbo!

Sweet Pea the Elephant is so adorable and would look wonderful in many different colour options.

So here you go, my Free Sweet Pea the Elephant Crochet Pattern, I hope you enjoy making her as much as I did designing her.

How To Make It Up Instructions.

(Be sure to Place the safety eyes in place on the head before you sew it up)!

First – Once the head and body are stuff, fastened off and sewn up, simply sew the two together, make sure to sew them firmly so it doesn’t wobble all over the place.

Second – Once the arms are stuffed and fastened off, simply sew them to the top sides of the body.

Third – Once the legs are stuffed and fastened off, simply sew them to the lower sides of the body.

Fourth – Once the tail is stuffed and fastened off, simply sew it to the back bottom part of the body.

Fifth and Finally – Take one Pink Ear Piece and One White Ear Piece, lay them onto each other and sew them together, do not stuff them as this will distort the shape. Once they are sewn together, pinch one side of them, sew up this pinch which will have them fold over slightly, then they are ready to sew onto the top sides of the head.

(Warning – If the toy is going to a Young Child, Safety Eyes can be a choking hazard so I would recommend embroidering the eyes with wool instead).
